Suqin leads the Data & AI Engineering function at Singapore Exchange (SGX Group), where her team designs and builds the enterprise data platform spanning data lakes, data warehousing, integration, and data‑as‑a‑service APIs to power analytics and data product capabilities.

With 16 years of experience in the financial services industry, Suqin brings deep expertise across solution architecture, modern data platforms, and AI/ML. Passionate about how technology can turn ideas into reality, she began her career in application development before moving into the data and AI space eight years ago. Starting as a Data Engineer, she later pivoted into a Data Scientist role after completing her master’s degree, and advanced to Head of Data & AI Engineering.

Today, Suqin focuses on data platform modernisation, transforming data from files into scalable, API‑driven products, and enabling data monetisation. She is driven by a strong belief that while data is often described as the new oil, it is closer to the blood of the organisation—flowing through every system and decision. By making data accessible and actionable, and leveraging AI as the catalyst, Suqin aims to deliver meaningful business outcomes, augment teams with AI tools, and empower the organisation to make informed, data‑driven decisions in an increasingly dynamic digital landscape.
