Capital Markets Team Lead APAC, Colt

Russell Toop Manages the Capital Markets Sales Specialists team for Colt Technology Services in Asia with staff in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Singapore providing support for dedicated connectivity, hosting, and market data services to Exchanges, HFT’s, Banks, Brokers, and Fund Managers.

He has over 25 years of Capital Markets experience in Sales and Sales leadership roles working at leading global vendors, banks, and exchanges.

He started his career in London running middle office operations teams at Bankers Trust & Deutsche Bank before Joining Deutsch Börse Group during the rise of electronic trading on Eurex and Xetra exchanges where he managed buyside and sellside members. He moved from London to Singapore in 2007 with Trading Technologies, a leading futures trading vendor where he was instrumental in building out their business in Asia.

Russ’s most recent role was at SBI Digital Markets where he worked in product and client management to expand the Digital Asset ecosystem through advisory, issuance, distribution and custody in fixed income, equities, and alternatives. He is a long-standing Member of Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment CISI.
