Michael Griggs has spent twenty-five years in the financial services industry, starting his career at Nomura International in London. He has worked across multiple roles as a software engineer, quant developer, and trader at firms such as Deutsche, Credit Suisse, and JP Morgan. He put this broad experience to use at UBS, where he was head of the UBS Investment Bank’s Innovation Lab, based in Singapore. In 2021, he joined Amazon Web Services as a principal architect in the Global Financial Services division. He works with large financial services firms who are doing digital transformation, modernization, and migration to the cloud. He has a master’s degree in computational physics from the University of Warwick, and a physics degree from the University of Sussex.
