Head of Engineering, Asia-Pacific, Bloomberg

Eric Herdzik is the Head of Asia-Pacific (APAC) Engineering at Bloomberg. Based in Tokyo, he is responsible for driving both long-term and short-term growth strategies for the company’s Engineering department in Asia. He leads a group of hundreds of engineers with different backgrounds and skillsets, and encourages them to utilize their deep domain knowledge, market insights, and engineering expertise to help support the Bloomberg Terminal and the firm’s clients across the region.
Eric has been leading high-performing teams and delivering innovative, business-enabling technology products and services for the past decade. He started his career with Bloomberg in 2012 in New York and relocated to Tokyo to lead the company’s real-time exchange feeds infrastructure team in APAC in 2018.
Eric holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York State.
