Project Manager, Korea Exchange

Deoghoon Hwang is a Project Manager at the Korea Exchange (KRX), the sole securities exchange in Korea, where he is driving the globalization of KRX’s market data business.

He leads initiatives in data strategy, product development, and global marketing, focusing on expanding the reach and competitiveness of KRX data offerings.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Korea University. At KRX, he has held roles across global institutional communications, market regulation, and business development, including work on KOSDAQ market microstructure and global investor relations.

In his current role within the Market Data Division, he manages constructive relationships with clients and partners, while also driving initiatives to advance KRX’s data business by exploring systematic enhancements and innovative approaches across areas such as data product management and global marketing.

He also completed the Digital Finance Expert Program(‘Blockchain and Digital Asset’) at the KAIST College of Business in 2025, with a focus on the convergence of traditional finance and digital assets. All in all, he is passionate about strengthening connectivity and fostering innovation across the global financial industry while exploring new opportunities.
