Global Head of Real-Time Data and Technology, Bloomberg

Cory Albert manages Bloomberg’s Real-Time data business. Flagship products include the B-PIPE consolidated market data feed, the Bloomberg Desktop API, Bloomberg Server API, and Event Driven Feeds for Bloomberg News and Analytics. By balancing high quality content with high performance and lightweight technology these products power desktops, work-groups, and entire enterprises across the capital markets community. Key areas of focus include strategy, product development, and developing strategic alliances with capital markets ISV’s and technology partners; including cloud service providers.

Hired in 2002, Cory has held numerous positions at Bloomberg including Global Head of Cloud Strategy for Enterprise Data, Head of Strategic Partnerships for Enterprise Solutions, Head of Product Development for Real Time Technology, and numerous roles in technical product development and software engineering.

Prior to joining Bloomberg LP, Cory worked for the Securities Industry Automation Corporation as a senior consultant in the NYSE Product Planning and Management division. Throughout his career, Cory has leveraged a balance of business and technical expertise to help develop financial applications or find ways for financial applications to leverage data.

Cory holds a B.S. in Industrial and Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a M.S. in Software Engineering from Southern Methodist University.
